Works great and Beautiful sights

The work is wonderful and we are happy to be here!  Not by chance but by divine inspiration, we have met many amazing people.  We believe that many of our visitors have been prepared to come to Cove Fort to feel of the special spirit that is here.  Each day is a new adventure and we love serving.  We will never get tired of the amazing spirit of peace and love we feel here.
We have had some wonderful opportunities to share the gospel as well as explore this beautiful country side.  Here are some pictures which can only give you a little taste of what we are experiencing.

These where taken on a "P"day trip with the Atwoods, Dye's, and Marrotts trowards the Price area where Elder Atwood grew up.  Beautiful canyon area with Native American paintings and amazing  views.

Take two--Friday Night Social 5/4/12

One day short of Cinco De Mayo...does that make it Quatro De Mayo???  Sis. Allen and I were in charge of this every other Friday social.  (Cami, we made that great lime rice/pulled port dish that you make.)  It was a great night.  I was in charge of the decorations and Sis. Allen took care of the food/assignments.  She and Bro. Allen make fried ice cream balls.  The pictures are of the social and also some of the prescribed burning (no longer called controlled burning due to sometimes it gets out of control).. The prescribed burn is just south of the Fort.  The flames were pretty high...Dan wasn't able to capture them at their peak but still pretty impressive. (sometimes these get out of hand.....yikes)

This was held at our cultural hall/chapel known as the Twig...(Twig, because we are too small to be called a Branch.)  Sorry..looking sidways again.  There were 44 of us.

Dan took this just outside the Chapel (Twig)

This is Bro. Allen (behind the table holding the lid).  Hiis father voiced Dan and my Patriarchal Blessings in 1972 in Prescott, AZ.    Elder Dye is in the black vest....He is our Director here at Cove Fort.  Sister Ence is one of the service missionaries (4 couples) who take care of the grounds a huge garden at the Fort.....the garden is magnificent!

More Pics of the beautiful area- Fremont Indian Park

Tilt your head again.

Can you find the lizard (it was live)

This was a cave across from the Fremont Indian Park

These formations looked like giant mushrooms.

This is the view we have from our window.  The buildings at the bottom are right by the fort.  The fort is just behind the hill. Neat cloud formations.

Sunset from our home.
These pictures were taken last Friday (April 27) as we were traveling to Richfield (35 mi.) for groceries.  We stopped at the Fremont Indian Park which had some amazing Indian markings on the cliffs.

"P" day May 1st

Dan and I decided to go to the Manti Temple in Manti, UT.  It was a wonderful calming, relaxing and fulfilling day.  Here are some pics of the massive structure built in 1877.  It amazes me how the pioneers built such a beautiful edifice.  There are some other pictures along the way.  The horses are for the benefit of our sweet  grand daughters who enjoy those beautiful animals.  Love to all.

Side note:  The next day (May 3rd) we had a wonderful but short vistit with Roger and Deon Cole who stopped by on their way north to Salt Lake.  So sorry we didn't take some pictures.  They looked great and it was really special to see them.  Thanks Rog and Deon for taking the time out to stop.

This house was in Manti...loved the stone...hum..who is that taking that picture???
Charlie, I found your closet........in a little town called Gunnison, UT on the way to Manti.

 Loved the little colt...

Sorry you have to turn your head for this one...I rotated it but it didn't stay . This was an LDS chapel in Manti which was built in the mid 1800's.  They have renovated it and it is beautiful.  More pics to come.
